We all can be Angels - if we try!
All it takes is a little bit of kindness!
Welcome to Angels Without Wings, a nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact in our community. Through our various programs, we strive to create a better world for all. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about how you can join us in making a difference. Be the change!
Angels walk among us every day. They don’t always have wings—but they have courage, compassion, and hearts devoted to others.
Angels Without Wings, Inc. (AWW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to honoring those extraordinary people and animals who selflessly give of themselves to make the world kinder, safer, and more hopeful. From individuals quietly serving their communities, to animals whose loyalty and bravery change lives, we exist to celebrate the angels who inspire us all.
OUR MISSION
Since 2010, AWW has been devoted to recognizing and supporting people, organizations, and animals who make a profound difference in the lives of others. We shine a light on compassion in action—helping those less fortunate, protecting animals in need, and honoring the powerful bond between humans and animals.
Angels Among Us
True angels without wings show us something powerful:
One person can make a difference.
A little time. A little creativity. A little effort.
These small acts can change the world for someone in need.
They remind us that we all have the ability to be angels—if we choose kindness.
Through monuments, medals, educational initiatives, and public programs, we celebrate animals whose love, service, and sacrifice elevate humanity. These animals are more than companions or heroes—they are truly Angels Without Wings.
Each program under the AWW umbrella educates the public, raises awareness, and spreads hope, inspiration, gratitude, and love. Together, they remind us that goodness still thrives—and that it often begins with a single act of kindness.
Honoring Service, Courage, and Sacrifice
AWW is also deeply committed to honoring animals who have served our country on both the war and home fronts. Through monuments, medals, and a future traveling museum, we preserve history and teach it through the eyes of the animals who lived it.
Through our DBA Sgt. Reckless Memorial Fund, AWW has placed monuments across the country honoring the legendary U.S. Marine Corps war horse, with sculptures created by Jocelyn Russell.
Since 2019, through our DBA Animals in War & Peace program, we have recognized four-legged and winged heroes with the Animals in War & Peace Medal of Bravery and Distinguished Service Medal, while continuing to place meaningful monuments that honor their legacy and sacrifice in service to our nation, and a future traveling museum to tell history through the eyes of these incredible heroes.
Our Newest Projects: Honoring the Human/Animal Connection
Today, we are proud to continue this mission with two powerful new monuments:
These projects remind us that inspiration can come from the most unexpected places—and that love leaves a lasting legacy.
