We all can be Angels - if we try!
Welcome to Angels Without Wings, a nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact in our community. Through our various programs, we strive to create a better world for all. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about how you can join us in making a difference. Be the change!
Angels Without Wings, Inc. (AWW) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization devoted to those “Angels” who walk among us ... those people who give of themselves selflessly, day in and day out, to help those in need, or an animal in need.
AWW has spent the last 15 years dedicated to honoring and supporting people and organizations that do great work helping people that are less fortunate, and helping animals in need. AWW also celebrates the bond that people have with animals, and the inspiration animals bring to our lives.
These people show us that it only takes one person to make a difference - just a little bit of one’s time, ingenuity and a little bit of effort can make all the difference in the world to those less fortunate.
These people show us that ...We all can be Angels - if we try.
AWW’s mission also honors those animals that have served our country on the war and home fronts with Monuments, Medals, and a future traveling Museum that will teach history through the eyes of the animals. Through the DBA Sgt Reckless Memorial Fund three monuments by artist Jocelyn Russell honoring the great USMC Korean War horse, SSgt Reckless, were dedicated around the country. Six monuments now stand in her honor.
Since 2019, AWW DBA Animals in War & Peace has been honoring those four-legged and winged "Angels" that have served our country and on the war and home fronts with our Animals in War & Peace Medal of Bravery and Distinguished Service Medal, and has placed two monuments to the USMC war dog, MWD Lucca K458, by Jocelyn Russell.
Each of these different programs under the AWW umbrella are part of its overall mission that educates the public and raises awareness while it spreads hope, inspiration, appreciation, gratitude ... and love.
And that's exactly what we are doing now with our two new monuments: 1) The Bond: Two Hearts-One Spirit which celebrates the human/horse connection between a young man with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome (Cody Dorman) and Cody's Wish, the 2023 Horse of the Year.; and 2) Grizzly 399 Legacy of Love Project whose remarkable story of resilience, motherhood, and grace, transcended the boundaries of wildlife observation, and brought inspiration and awareness about the critical challenges facing grizzly bear populations.

Cody's Wish & Cody Dorman - A monument that has the beating heart of an incredible story - a story of friendship, resilience, and the extraordinary power of a shared bond between a young man and his very special horse. Two Angels Without Wings for sure!
A monument dedicated to the iconic Grizzly 399, who inspired millions of people over 25+ years at Grand Teton National Park, WY.
